Meeting Minutes of September 2015

ATTENDEES: Present were Lou Brackett, Commander, Neal Froese, Chaplain;  Dan O’Neill, Finance Officer; Dale Yeckley, SVC; Curtis Gray, Adjutant; Harold Pierce, Tim Merris, Historian, Lee Cogswell, Ed Geerdes, Troy Stockman, Elvia Bourland, , Mike Davis (?). 

EXCUSED; Daryl Hillyer, JVC; Cal Davis, Chaplain

GUESTS: Corsi Hogstad, Nancy Yeckley, Suzie Brackett, Carla Derryberry, Tyler Yeager, Mrs. K. Yeager, C. Yeager, Deana Cogswell.

 

Post Commander Lou Brackett welcomed all attendees to our American Legion Post 2006 Fall Bar-B-Que.

The colors were in position and the Cmdr. asked those present to render an appropriate hand salute. All Legionnaires were asked to uncover, then the opening prayer was offered by Neal Froese.

 

The POW/MIA Cover was placed on the Empty Chair by Dale Yeckley, SVC.

 

 The Pledge of Allegiance was presented by the Adjutant Curtis Gray.

 

The Commander declared The American Legion Post 2006, Department of Colorado convened for the Bar-B-Que and report by our 2015 Boys State Representative.

 

After the Bar-B-Que, the POW/MIA sheath was recovered.

 

The announcement of the next meeting will be held at Fruita Civic Center (Lions Room), on Saturday, October 17, 2015 with sign-in and meeting to begin at 9:00am.
